Pricing your services
Rate structures that draft quote line items from your real rate book.
What a rate structure is#
Under Settings → Pricing, a rate structure captures how you actually price a kind of work: hourly (with crew size, minimum hours, and different rates per shift type), per square foot, per vehicle, per room, flat per-job with optional mileage, or tiered amounts. It is a calculator, not a lock — it drafts line items you can always edit.
Your workspace starts with structures seeded for your industry (edit or archive them freely). A live preview in the editor shows exactly what a structure drafts before you save.
Peak pricing that shows its work#
Hourly structures can carry seasonal or weekend multipliers. When one applies, it appears on the quote as its own labeled line — "Peak season (May–Sept) +15%" — never silently folded into the hourly rate. Transparent pricing is the whole point.
Using it on a quote#
In the quote builder, "Price from a rate" opens a picker: choose a structure, enter the job's numbers (hours and crew, square feet, vehicle class, rooms, or a tier), preview the drafted lines, and insert them. They land as ordinary line items — edit, remove, or add to them like anything else. Totals are always recomputed server-side in exact cents.
A structure whose configuration is incomplete refuses to price rather than guessing — fix it in Settings → Pricing and the picker will offer it again.
